Explore the Cosmos
Founded by Polychronis (Chronis) Iliakis, a passionate astrophotographer and engineer, Prometheus Astro began as a small workshop with a big goal:
to design and build astrophotography gear that combine high-end performance with accessible pricing.
From Passion to Precision
What started as one man’s pursuit to improve his own imaging setup grew into a full-fledged engineering venture.
Over years of design, testing, and field experience under the night skies of Greece, Chronis developed what would become the company’s flagship innovation — the TÝR Harmonic Drive Mount, reflecting the core values of Prometheus Astro.
Every Prometheus Astro product — from mounts and flat-field calibration panels to power systems and accessories — is built around the same philosophy:
True performance should be accessible, serviceable, and engineered to last.
EU-Based Engineering and Support
All Prometheus Astro products are designed, assembled, and supported in Artemis, Attika, Greece, under strict quality control.
Our customers enjoy EU-based service, a 2-year warranty, and direct access to our technical support team — ensuring that every piece of equipment performs at its peak for years to come
